Menter Iaith Abertawe will be conducting Her Chwefror (February Challenge) during the February half-term.
Her Chwefror is an annual scheme giving children and young people the opportunity to take part in a number of activities, including skiing, rock-climbing, a visit to Llangrannog and much more!
The Play Schemes will also offer the children a chance to socialise through the medium of Welsh outside of school hours, and will help to ensure that they consider Welsh as a language for everyday use and as a language for fun too.
The cost of attending Her Chwefror is £15 a day, or £50 for all four days. A £10 deposit will be required when you reserve a place for your child. Spaces are limited – 15 children per day – so early reservation is recommended.

A Welsh language stage adaptation by Catrin Dafydd and Manon Eames of the EDS Dylan Thomas Prize winning collection of short stories Fresh Apples by Rachel Trezise. | Taliesin Arts Centre, Swansea | 31/03/2012 Saturday Poster | 7:30yh | Catrin Finch and Toumani Diabate From the producers of smash-hit projects Billy Cobham & Asere and Catrin Finch & Cimarron comes another stunning music collaboration featuring two world class virtuosi.
Catrin and Toumani are from two very different cultures: the landlocked and mostly flat southern Saharan nation of Mali is one of the poorest in the world yet produces some of the most sublime music on Earth; in contrast, the lush, green valleys and soaring mountains of Wales are familiar to us all.
The harp occupies a vital place in the rich cultures of both nations. The West African harp – the kora – played by Toumani is made from a dried gourd and fishing line; Catrin’s Welsh harp is one of the most iconic symbols of a nation steeped in music.
Toumani Diabaté is one of Africa’s most important musicians and widely considered the world’s finest living kora player. A performer of exceptional virtuosity and creativity, his pedigree goes back through 71 generations of kora players, from father to son. He has collaborated with Damon Albarn, Björk and the late, great Ali Farka Touré, with whom he won a GRAMMY Award in 2006. | Taliesin Arts Centre
